Why I Teach Bag Making This Way
I Believe Confidence Can Be Taught, One Skill at a Time.
Bag making is different from garment sewing, quilting, and many other sewing projects. That’s why I created the Sew Easy System.
Instead of overwhelming you with too many techniques at once, each project is designed to help you practice skills you’ve already learned while adding just one or two new ones.
With each project, you learn by doing, build on what you already know, and gain confidence through small successes.

Hi, I’m Dolly Ferguson
Sewing has always been about more than fabric and thread to me. There’s something special about sitting down at the sewing machine, watching the pieces come together, and ending with something beautiful you made with your own hands.
Bag making became the part of sewing I especially loved. But somewhere along the way, I discovered something else — I love teaching women to make bags just as much as I love making them myself.
My favorite part is helping someone go from wondering, “Can I really make that?” to holding up her finished bag and saying, “Look what I made!”
That’s what Sew Easy With Dolly is really about — sewing together, learning together, and enjoying the process along the way.
So bring your fabric, pull up a chair, and sew along with me.
